Shrinky dinky

Made for GMTK Game Jam 2024: Built to Scale

** play fullscreen **
In this cosy and mildly unnerving puzzle platformer, you are a little scribble demon traversing a strange and curious world.

Shrink or grow the boxes to create a path to the portal on each level. Any sides touching will allow movement between.

You can resize any box corner with indicators, but scaling a box while standing inside it will also scale the player- use this to your advantage!

PS  be wary the eels.

Woot! 1st of congrats on top 100! So deserved! Also, transitioning rooms is way smoother now!!! Yay for post-jam builds!!! Just wanted to let you know, I noticed there were times where I could make a room really small and then I wouldn't be able to open it back up again (even in fullscreen), forcing a reset. I also somehow managed to get out of the rooms in the 1st eel level (although it did force reset!). It was a jump from the start box towards the left box and the lil demon wasn't resizing with the box if that helps. Looking forward to whatever you do next!!! :D

I can't get past the insanely high paywall ($88) at after the first portal??????? anyonbe else having this issue???

I love the design of the demon, and the mechanic is good too.  GG wp like we said

This is my favorite mechanic I've seen so far in this jam! Also love the vibes and art. Cute little animals floating around and what not. Reminds me of the serenity of the game Journey.

Am I supposed to be able to jump out of frame? XD

haha noooope o: but our system that force reset you if you do end up outside the frame didnt make it in the end build sadly!

Don't worry, I was mostly just amused.
